Phong Dien Industrial Zone - Viglacera has a total area of 284.32 hectares, located in the communes of Phong Hoa, Phong Hien at Phong Dien town, Phong Dien District, Thua Thien Hue. This is a province at central location of the Central Region, located on the important North-South route, East-West corridor connecting Thailand - Laos - Vietnam under the Provincial Road No.9, located between Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City which are major cities of the two most economically developed regions in Vietnam. Thua Thien Hue Province has a convenient transportation network in terms of roads, railways and waterways.

The province has so many universities, professional training colleges that labor forces is resourceful at low labor costs, and thus attracts much investment. Businesses can easily attract high quality labor from New York and labor from neighboring provinces.

Phong Dien Industrial Zone is one of the IPs in Thua Thien Hue province approved by the Prime Minister in the master plan for social-economic development of Thua Thien Hue province to 2015, targeted to 2020.

Phong Dien - Viglacera Industrial Zone is the 3rd component of the Phong Dien Industrial Zone’s master plan which started construction, with total investment of over 681 billion. This is a mixed, multidisciplinary, high-tech Industrial Zone, targeting to less polluting industries, like electric, electronic, information technology, agro-forestry, fisheries, food and beverages, textiles, building materials, mining, mineral processing, sand extraction and processing.

Phong Dien Industrial zon is planned about 700 ha, divided into 4 sub - zones:

- A sub - zone: 152.13 ha with some active plants

- B sub- zone: 147.17 ha (sand processing zone), the enterprise has invested in construction of the infrastructure.

- C sub - zone: 100.7 ha and the enterprise has invested in construction of the infrastructure.

- Phong Dien Viglacera Industrial Zone: 300 ha and the enterprise has invested in construction of the infrastructure.

Internal transport system: The internal road system is constructed to ensure vehicles to easily and conveniently move to each factory.

The Main road 39m with 4 lands and the branch road with 16,5m for 2 lands

Power lines: The High Voltage Network (22KV) is provided along the internal roads in the Industrial zone. Power source and power network ensure stable supply of electricity for production. The transformer with total capacity of 2x30MVA

Water supply system: The water supply system with a capacity of 11.000m3/day ensures high quality and sufficient quantity to serve production and living needs to the fence of enterprises.

Waste Water treatment system: All production and domestic wastewater shall be firstly treated by the enterprise to match minimum level C before discharging to the common wastewater system of the industrial zone, then the industrial zone will continue to treat to meet the regulated standards.

Wastewater treatment System with capacity 7.000 m3/day has been invested and operated.

Fire protection:The water supply network for firefighting is designed in conjunction with the potable water supply network, which is located along the roads. The distance among fire hydrants is 120m -150m with a diameter of D125mm.
