LONG SON OIL AND GAS INDUSTRIAL PARK - BA RIA - VUNG TAU PROVINCE
I. Overview of Long Sơn Oil and Gas Industrial Park
Long Sơn Industrial Park was approved to be added to the General Plan of Industrial Parks in Vietnam in document No. 841/TTg-CN dated June 2, 2008 of the Prime Minister with a planned area according to the investment policy of 1,250 ha. On July 11, 2008, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial People's Committee issued investment certificate No. 491022000366 to Long Sơn Petrochemical Co., Ltd. to implement the investment project to develop the infrastructure of Long Sơn Industrial Park.
Long Sơn Industrial Park was adjusted to reduce the area from 1,250 ha to 850 ha according to Official Dispatch No. 1203/TTg-KTN dated July 21, 2011 of the Prime Minister due to the separation of the Southern Petrochemical Complex Project from the general plan of the Industrial Park. Currently, the project is being proposed by the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province to reduce the area from 850 ha to 652 ha according to document No. 10152/UBND-VP dated August 11, 2021 and is awaiting approval.
