In particular, Sông Đốc Industrial Park has been approved by the People's Committee of Cà Mau province for detailed construction planning in Decision No. 565/QD-UBND dated April 5, 2011 with an area of 265.95 hectares and has been approved by the Prime Minister for adjusting the scale to suit the local socio-economic development situation in Official Dispatch No. 242/TTg - KTN dated February 25, 2014 on adjusting the development plan of industrial parks in Cà Mau province issued with the list of industrial parks planned for development until 2020 of Cà Mau province as proposed by the Ministry of Planning and Investment in Official Dispatch No. 650/BKHĐT-QLKKT dated February 7, 2014; accordingly, Sông Đốc Industrial Park adjusted to reduce the initial planned scale from 265.95 hectares to 145.45 hectares. (Sông Đốc Industrial Park South has a scale of 100 ha; Sông Đốc Industrial Park North has a scale of 45.45 ha).

Sông Đốc Industrial Park belongs to the area of Sông Đốc town and part of Phong Dien, Khánh Hải, Khanh Hung communes in Trần Văn Thời district.

Sông Đốc Industrial Park is located in a geographical position with a relatively convenient transportation system for transporting and circulating goods (especially the waterway and sea transportation system): Sông Đốc Industrial Park is about 50 km from Cà Mau city center and 52 km from Cà Mau airport along the Cà Mau road to Sông Đốc town, waterway traffic mainly follows the Ong Doc River connecting with the Southern waterway route. The coastline is 36 km long, adjacent to the Sông Đốc estuary (Trần Văn Thời district, Cà Mau province) about 1.5 km, adjacent to the Gulf of Thailand, 3,000-ton ships can travel easily.

Export tax and import tax incentives enjoyed by Sông Đốc Industrial Park: import tax exemption for goods imported to create fixed assets; raw materials and supplies that are not domestically produced; machinery in technological lines or for manufacturing components, details, separate parts, accessories, jigs, molds, accessories for synchronous assembly with equipment, machinery... according to the regulations of the Government.

Land rental incentives at Sông Đốc Industrial Park: (according to Decree 46/2014/ND-CP):

Exemption of land rent and water surface rent for the entire lease term for investment projects in the field of special investment incentives (the field of special investment incentives is specified in Decree 118/2015/ND-CP dated November 12, 2015 of the Government detailing and guiding a number of articles of the Investment Law).

Exemption of land rent and water surface rent during the basic construction period according to the project approved by the competent authority, but not exceeding 03 (three) years from the date of the decision on land lease, water surface lease. Then the enterprise is exempt from land rent and water surface rent for 11 years for all projects, especially projects in the field of investment incentives are exempt for 15 years.
