Industries attracting investment

Prioritizing the development of clean and advanced technology industries that do not cause environmental pollution and are consistent with Decision No. 188/QD-TTg dated November 1, 2011 of the Prime Minister approving the "Industrial Development Plan of Ho Chi Minh City until 2010, taking into account 2020". Industries in the IP are determined according to Official Letter No. 2121/BQL-PQLXD dated July 25, 2013 of the Management Board of Export Processing and Industrial Zones of the city, orienting the attraction of clean and advanced technology industries, with emphasis on the city's 04 key industries, specifically as follows:

1. Food industry group: production of refined food processing (not preliminary processing), beverage production.

2. Chemical and pharmaceutical industry group (except basic chemicals): production of medicines and pharmaceuticals; production of fragrances, cosmetics and toiletries.

3. Electrical - electronics - information technology industry group: Software production; production of electronics, telecommunications, computer and optical products, components, and electrical equipment.

4. Mechanical industry group: precision mechanics, manufacturing mechanics; production of machinery, equipment, motor vehicles, means of transport; water industry components; precast metal products, metal processing (in which electroplating is a stage in the production line).
