Tân Phước 2 Industrial Park was approved by the Prime Minister to be added to the development plan of industrial parks in Tiền Giang province according to Official Dispatch No. 2467/TTg-KTN dated December 11, 2009, with an initial planned area of 300 ha. According to the planning of Tiền Giang province for the period 2021-2030 approved in Decision No. 1762/QD-TTg dated December 31, 2023, the area of Tân Phước 2 industrial park is expected to be expanded to a scale of 450 ha.

On April 27, 2022, Tân Phước 2 Industrial Park was approved by the People's Committee of Tiền Giang province for the construction zoning plan at a scale of 1/2000 in Decision No. 1186/QD-UBND with a planning area of 300 ha (the area not yet planned is 150 ha), of which the area of industrial land for lease is 227.35 ha. The planning location belongs to Tân Lập 2 commune, Tân Phước district, Tiền Giang province; The boundary to the North borders the residential area of Nam Kenh Khang Chien road; to the South borders the residential area of Bac Kenh 3 road; to the East borders the residential area of DH.44 road and to the West borders agricultural land.
