Tân Phước I Industrial Park was approved to be added to the industrial park planning of Tiền Giang province according to Official Dispatch No. 2467/TTg-KTN dated December 11, 2009 of the Prime Minister with an initial planned area of 300 ha. On March 30, 2010, Tam Phuoc I Industrial Park was approved to adjust its planned area to 470 ha in Official Dispatch No. 523/TTg_KTN of the Prime Minister. The area of the industrial park remains unchanged in the Tiền Giang province planning for the period 2021-2030 approved by the Prime Minister on December 31, 2023.

On March 28, 2022, Tân Phước 1 Industrial Park was approved for the 1/2000 scale construction subdivision planning in Decision No. 874/QĐ-UBND with a total planned area of 470 ha (of which the industrial land area for lease is 362.8 ha), the planning location belongs to Tân Lập 1 commune, Tân Phước district, Tiền Giang province. The northern boundary of the industrial park borders the residential area of Nam Kenh 2 road; the South borders the existing Bac Kenh 1 road; the East borders Tay Kenh Nang road; the West borders the residential area of Tay Kenh 7 road.
