SUSPENSION OF GRANTING WORK PERMITS TO FOREIGNERS FROM EPIDEMIC AREAS

In the context of the complicated disease situation in Korean, EU,..., the Employment Department, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Management Board of industrial parks, export processing zones, and economic zones of the localities temporarily suspended the granting of work permits for foreign workers from the affected area. For the remaining Korean nationals who have been granted a work permit, after they came back to Korea and returned to Vietnam to work, they shall be subjected to taking epidemiological tests before entering.

In case of visa extension in Vietnam, foreign investors who own a visa in the form of a tourist or being guaranteed to work under a company here, visa will be extended for one more month or three months depending on their choices. The extension will require documentation including the original passport and temporary residence address in Vietnam.

In the context of the outbreak of nCoV virus in Vietnam and many countries around the world, this is a common difficult situation that all investors face, affecting production activities for  enterprises in particular and the economics in general. However, the suspension of the issuance of work permits for foreigners coming from epidemic areas is only a temporary policy to prevent and protect the health of every citizen. The most important thing is to to keep personal hygiene by washing hands regularly, wearing masks, using disinfecting tools and avoiding crowded places to protect the health of themselves and their families.
