Giao Long Industrial Park - Bến Tre Province

I. LEGAL INFORMATION AND LOCATION OF Giao Long INDUSTRIAL PARK

Giao Long Industrial Park was established under document No. 284/TTg-CN dated March 22, 2005 by the Prime Minister with an initial phase scale of 96.3 hectares, invested with a total investment of VND 141.39 billion, of which the budget support capital is VND 89.050 billion. On April 04, 2008, the Prime Minister agreed in principle to allow the expansion of Giao Long Industrial Park with an area of 68 hectares according to Official Dispatch No. 515/TTg-CN, raising the total scale of the project for both phases to 164.3 hectares, at the same time, Giao Long Industrial Park was added to the planning of industrial parks in Vietnam until 2020. According to the planning of Bến Tre province for the period 2021-2030 approved by the Prime Minister, Giao Long Industrial Park is expected to be expanded in phase III with a scale of 50.8 hectares.
The Giao Long Industrial Park project has the investor as the infrastructure development company of Bến Tre Industrial Parks, which is implemented at the planned location in An Phước commune, Châu Thành district, and started construction of phase I infrastructure in 2005 and phase II in 2012. On May 26, 2008, the Bến Tre Provincial People's Committee approved the detailed plan at the ratio of 1/2000 of Giao Long Industrial Park (phase II) in Decision No. 988/QD-UBND.

Regarding the nature, Giao Long Industrial Park is planned as a multi-industry industrial park, phase I attracts investment projects in the fields of Garment, Car equipment assembly, Food processing, Activated carbon production, paper and plastic packaging, cacao processing; Phase 2 attracts garment projects, coconut processing, bulb production, synthetic leather, and paper packaging production.
Regarding regional connectivity, Giao Long Industrial Park is adjacent to National Highway 57B and:
- 10 km from Bến Tre city; 15 km from My Tho city
- 85 km from Ho Chi Minh City; 86 km from Tan Son Nhat airport
- 95 km from Hiep Phuoc port; 97 km from Cat Lai port.

II. INFRASTRUCTURE SYSTEM OF Giao Long INDUSTRIAL PARK

Internal traffic system: the main axis of Giao Long Industrial Park has a cross-sectional width of 19.5-27m, of which the road surface width is from 7.5m-15m; branch roads in the industrial park have a width of 7.5m-19.5m, of which the road surface width is from 3.5m-15m.

Power supply system: the power source for production at Giao Long Industrial Park is taken from the national grid through a 22kV line running across the industrial park, running above ground through a system of concrete poles to each plot of land in the industrial park.

Water supply system: the clean water source for production at Giao Long Industrial Park is guaranteed to be supplied by Bến Tre Province Water Supply and Drainage Co., Ltd. The clean water plant invested in the technical land of the industrial park has the capacity to supply a capacity of 12,000 m3/day and night
Wastewater treatment system: all production wastewater in the industrial park must be treated to meet column C standards before being discharged into the centralized wastewater treatment station of the industrial park and continue to be treated to column A standards before being discharged into the environment. The capacity of the wastewater treatment system reaches 6,000 m3/day and night, of which the phase I capacity is 2,000 m3/day and night.
Other infrastructure utilities: Land leveling elevation +2.16m; Greenery and lighting systems; Information and communication system; Fire hydrants are arranged at a distance of 100-150m each along the traffic routes in the industrial park; The rainwater drainage system is arranged independently of the wastewater drainage system; Domestic water system.

III. LAND RENTAL COSTS AND INVESTMENT INCENTIVES AT Giao Long INDUSTRIAL PARK

Land and infrastructure rental price: 0.5 USD/m2/year, calculated on the total lease term

Infrastructure management and maintenance fee: 0.25 USD/m2/year

Electricity price: applied according to EVN's electricity price list at each time

Water price: 13,500 VND/m3, calculated on the actual amount of water used

Wastewater treatment fee: from 0.35 USD/m3 of wastewater, capable of receiving wastewater treatment from column C

Regarding corporate income tax: Applying a preferential tax rate of 17% for the first 10 years, while exempting 100% of CIT for the first 02 years and reducing 50% of CIT for the next 04 years
Regarding import tax: exemption from import tax on goods and machinery imported to create fixed assets for the project.

III. CURRENT STATUS OF INVESTMENT ATTRACTION AT Giao Long INDUSTRIAL PARK
